Non destructive test
An important role that introduces and validates new technologies in shipyards, thanks to the ability to enclose in a general and in-depth picture the state of the boat and the interventions necessary for the maintenance.

The Non destructive tests are a groups of exams, test and trials done by a away that don’t damage the material's specimen and doesn’t required the pull out or removal of any material sample from the structure. Their scope is provide and identify flaws and defects of the structure itself.
The purpose of non-destructive testing is to issue an acceptance / rejection judgment of a material or component, following a study that has determined which types of defect, their size and orientation and based on acceptance criteria, if they are acceptable.
Some of our services
This type of survey is requested by a possible buyer during the pre-purchase phase to check the condition of the hull, its appendages, up to the internal structures, auxiliary systems and plants, navigational instruments and equipments. FGRP, metal and wood hulls are surveyed to detect any corrosive process in place. The functioning of the electrical, hydraulic and fuel systems is checked. The conditions of the on-board instrumentation are assessed and, last but not least, the safety equipment and all the required certifications are checked. If there is the opportunity, a sea trial is carried out to evaluate the boat in its natural habitat. This action is especially recommended before buying a used boat, to protect yourself from bad deals and to be sure you are buying at the right price.
In order to take out a Hulls Policy, the Insurance Companies need a Certification on the condition of the vessel. For this type of assessment it is essential to check every safety aspect related to your boat such as fire extinguishing systems, correct fixing and sealing of the hull appendages, sea cocks and much more. in the C&V surveys, the commercial value indicated by the expert is necessary for the company in order to insure the boat for the right value. Furthermore, thanks to this type of appraisal, the value of the boat is certified according to the conditions and equipment in order to access credit institutions, leasing and nautical mortgages. Crucial in the assessment is the careful market research that is carried out to establish the exact value. Together with an evaluation of any rejuvenation interventions to which the boat has been subjected, the market price index serves to establish the real market value.
